MOLE MUSIC

Mole lives underground and doesn't get to visit others in the world above. He decides to try to learn to play the violin. This book goes with our lesson in the library for December on perseverence. Does Mole learn to play music? What does he do to learn? What happens?

We will be reading The Carrot Seed, by Ruth Krauss, when reviewing the trait of confidence. Everyone around the little boy doesn't think the carrot seed he planted will grow. See what happens that surprises the little boy's family in the end.

LITTLE TOOT

In November, we are discussing the book, Little Toot, by Hardie Gramatky, to go along with our character lesson on confidence. Little Toot eventually becomes confident as he faces a tremendous storm.
